PTO Membership Drive 2024

 

Families,

Welcome to Timothy Edwards Middle School! 

​

We are a volunteer organization made up of parents who are all dedicated to the successful education of our children. The PTO works hard to help make the school year both enjoyable and exciting for the students, teachers and parents.

​

Our purpose is to aid the students and staff for educational and recreational needs, to promote open communication between all members, and to encourage school spirit and pride. The PTO uses its resources, both manpower and monetary, to support all efforts of the staff of our school. We look forward to meeting all TEMS family and hope that many decide to get involved with our PTO this school year. We encourage you to not only join our organization; but participate in our many events as well!! Everything we do is based on volunteers and we are always looking for many of you to help make a difference in the lives of our children. Every positive imprint we make on our children can go a long way. If you are able to give some time, day or evenings, ten minutes or ten hours, Please join us! Many hands make the job easier.

Examples of how the PTO has been able to “give back” to the school and our children include new books to upgrade classroom libraries, staff appreciation week, teacher wishes, Alleviating cost of grade level field trips, and end of year appreciation family night.

The PTO has many fun and exciting events being planned for this year, including family fun nights, bingo, trivia nights, Active-Thon, Staff appreciation, end of the year family appreciation, and so much more!!

You can participate and help make 2024-25 school year the best yet! We need many volunteers and chair people as possible and are flexible enough to help work around your schedule. Many tasks can even be done from the comfort of your own home. Our PTO meetings are once a month, on a Thursday evening, to discuss upcoming events, programs, school information, and gather ideas. These dates can be found on the PTO link located on the Timothy Edwards Middle School webpage (tems.southwindsorschools.org/home). This is a wonderful way to find the information you need, sign up to chair a position, or volunteer for the many events throughout the year. The PTO believes that it is the ultimate importance that we do everything we can to enhance the learning environment of our children as they truly are our future. It will take all of us working together to ensure this happens. We are fortunate to have varying years of experience within our organization and have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful family members and staff through our involvement. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing in the same experiences.

The PTO is here to enhance our children's educational experiences here at TEMS. We know that none of this would be possible without the AMAZING support from our families, friends and community! Join us as we work together to make TE the best school for our kids, teachers, and staff!

• Cash or check (made payable to TEMS PTO) may be dropped off in the main office, or visit the PTO during Open House in the TEMS Cafeteria
